Description

Fully Restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Restomod With New 502CI V8 Crate Motor

Over the past 107 years, Chevrolet has built a vast empire of lovable offerings. One of the most substantial products of that innovation is the legendary Chevelle. Introduced in 1964 as an affordable mid-size, Chevy’s stalwart A-Body was peddled in a wide variety of flavors. But it wasn’t until the late sixties that the car sprouted some serious cubic inches and grew into a bona fide muscle car. And if you’re looking for some awesome metal that’s unique, attractive, and ready to roll, you simply won’t find cooler muscle for the money!

Americana History

Looking for a cool piece of Americana that’ll turn heads everywhere it goes? Just pick up the phone, call your friends at Elite Restomods in Boyne City, Michigan and we’ll hook you up with a great car like this awesome Chevelle resto-mod! Combining 502 cubic inches of brutal Chevrolet big block with a tough Turbo 400 automatic transmission and Emerald black aesthetics, this gruff ground-pounder draws big crowds and big compliments. And if you’re one of the many enthusiasts looking for a fun classic that’s unrelentingly cool, it’s your ticket to good times and great memories!

Long, Poised, and Wicked

The beneficiary of high-quality restoration that shows exceptionally well, this awesome A-Body has been lovingly coated in rich black 2-stage that’s as slick as oil on a hot drag strip! At the front of that tasteful pigment, a familiar Super Sport grille centers a clean “SS” badge between modern headlights and a mirrored bumper that’s finished with bright parking lamps.

Behind that grille, a classy Super Sport Hood flows to stainless-trimmed glass, which tilts polished wipers beneath a choice Haartz top. At the sides of that hood, a handsome, Chevrolet-branded profile shoots red pinstripes around taut wheel rings, traditional door handles bowtie-branded mirrors, and predictable Super Sport rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a second mirrored bumper frames a color-keyed Super Sport valance that’s finished with fresh tail lamps.

Yes, 502 Cubic Inches

Lovingly centered in this coupe’s Satin Black engine bay, you’ll find 502 cubic inches of street-stomping power with a freshly built World Industries Merlin 502ci V8 engine backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. At that top of the $15K mill, a petite air cleaner drops crisp wind into a sleek Holley throttle body that’s wired to sequential Holley fuel injection. That box surfs a lightweight Holley intake, which floods lightweight Box Performance cylinder heads.

Those port-matched heads prop attractive Proform valve covers on quality Crower rockers, which join tough H-beam rods to turn hearty 10.25 to 1 compression into roughly 600 horsepower. An MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences spark between an MSD Blaster 2 coil and loomed FireCore plug wires. At the front of the block, a lucid Edelbrock water pump joins a polished Tuff Stuff alternator between billet serpentine components and Box Performance timing components.

The exhaust gets handled by custom, powder-coated headers. At the front of those tubes, a polished radiator makes excellent use of two electric puller fans. Top-notch ancillaries include corrugated hoses, a hot Optima battery, and a deep Milodon oil pan. And polished fluid reservoirs, a polished SSBC brake booster, and polished Eddie Motorsports hood support join a trick dipstick to detail serious performance with serious flash.

Black-on-Black-on-White

Combining modern aesthetics with timeless style, this Chevelle’s tasteful interior is a perfect place to cruise the day away! Seating is provided by plush TMI thrones that, like this Chevy’s body, are traced in striking red accents. At the base of that leather, cut-pile carpet centers a factory console between custom kick panels, monochromatic floor mats, and a traditional Hurst shifter.

In front of that shifter, a lightly modified dash founds serious Auto Meter Sport-Comp telemetry next to Classic Auto heat and modern Kenwood audio installed by world-famous Music In Motion. The driver spins a polished Billet Specialties steering wheel around a tilting column. And the passenger’s store gear in a custom-upholstered trunk.

Simply put: this menacing Chevelle is some of the coolest metal on the planet! As it sits, the car offers the best of both worlds: a solid cruiser, and a unique classic that sets itself apart from virtual acres of brightly colored pony cars and overwrought land yachts. Call your friends at Elite Restomods to schedule some seat time!
