World Class 1969 Chevrolet Nova Restomod Demo Vehicle

Chevrolet Nova’s History

Before we get into our World Class 1969 Chevrolet Nova Restomod Demo Vehicle, let’s review the Chevrolet Nova’s history. Chevrolet introduced the Nova in 1962 as an entry-level compact car. By 1969, the Nova had grown in size and power, becoming a formidable muscle car in its own right.

That year, Chevrolet equipped the Nova with a 350-cubic-inch V8 engine that could produce up to 300 horsepower. Coupled with a lightweight body and excellent suspension, the Nova was capable of impressive performance numbers. It could go from 0 to 60 mph in six seconds and complete the quarter-mile in under 15 seconds.

In addition to its raw power, the 1969 Chevrolet Nova featured a sleek design that made it one of the most stylish cars on the road. With its powerful engine and head-turning looks, the Nova was truly a muscle car for the era. Nearly 50 years later, it remains an icon of that golden age of American automotive history.

Elite Restomods Quality Assurance

We have a detailed process for ensuring that our cars meet the highest standards before they get to our showroom floor. We call this methodology the AIM process, which stands for Assess, Identify and Manage. First, we start by performing a gap analysis to identify any areas where the car falls short of our standards. Then, we develop a plan to address those issues and manage the restoration until the car meets our rigorous standards.

A Dedicated Group of Restomod Enthusiasts

At Elite Restomods, we believe that great car audio is essential to building a restomod, and we’re dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers. Classic cars are often beautiful works of art, and restoring one to its former glory can be a labor of love. However, many car enthusiasts also want to add modern touches to their classic rides, converting them to restomods.

A restomod is a classic car or truck that has been restored with powerful enhancements, such as a more powerful engine, updated suspension, and modern amenities. Restomods can breathe new life into old classics, and they offer the best of both worlds: the nostalgic appeal of a classic car with the performance of a modern machine.

Building a restomod entails sourcing the best classic muscle car parts to achieve the perfect mix of old-school flair and modern power and performance. This can be a challenge as many original parts are no longer manufactured and reproductions may not meet the same high standards.

Fortunately, there are a number of companies specializing in premium restomod parts and accessories. These businesses work closely with classic car experts to ensure that their products meet the highest standards of quality and authenticity. At Elite Restomods, we use only the highest-quality components, such as the parts on display in our 1969 Chevy Nova.

Custom Engine Bay

Derick Samson’s restomod has been exhaustively customized from top to bottom, inside and out. The exterior is finished in a Mercedes-Benz Steppenbraun with pewter gray accents, and the vehicle sits on a set of one-off 20″/18″ custom wheels.

In the restomod industry, Chevrolet’s LS engine has become a go-to choice for engine swaps. The LS is a reliable and powerful engine that can easily be swapped into classic cars such as a Chevy Nova, giving them a modern boost in performance that goes beyond their original capabilities.

A Much More Powerful Vehicle

Back in 1969, the Chevy Nova was a powerful car, but this fully restored and modded version is even more impressive, thanks to a few key upgrades. First, the engine has been completely rebuilt, using high-performance parts that weren’t available in the 1960s. This means that the car now produces significantly more power than it did originally.

Second, the suspension and brakes have been upgraded to modern standards, giving the car much better handling and stopping power. Finally, the interior has been completely revamped with new upholstery, trim, and gauges. All of these changes add up to create a car that’s easily superior to its original counterpart.

Award-Winning Craftsmanship

The Chevy Nova is one of America’s most iconic muscle cars. It quickly became a favorite among gearheads and drag racers for its powerful V8 engine and lightweight body. In 1969, Chevrolet introduced an updated version of the Nova with a longer hood and more aggressive styling.

Today, the 1969 Chevy Nova is highly sought-after by collectors and car enthusiasts. Thanks to its timeless design and performance potential, the Nova has been named one of the “100 Greatest Cars of All Time” by Muscle Car Enthusiast magazine.

The Nova’s restomod status means that it retains its original body and chassis but has been outfitted with eye-catching modern-day components. This makes for a truly unique driving experience that is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.
